PHASE 2 DAY 5
20 June 2023
Tuesday
As my final year internship at St. Mary's HSS Pattom continues, each day presents unique opportunities for growth and learning. On the fifth day of my internship, the schedule seemed relatively open, but I was determined to make the most of it by preparing for upcoming classes, engaging in self-care, and embracing unexpected responsibilities.
Free Periods and Preparation
The day commenced with no regular assigned period. Although the temptation to relax was there, I saw this as an opportunity to be proactive. With the intention of delivering an impactful class, I devoted my time to preparing for the class at 8Land 9 Y. Through meticulous planning and gathering relevant resources, I aimed to create an engaging and informative learning experience for the students.
Line Duty and Responsibility:
As the day drew to a close, I enthusiastically embraced the responsibility of managing the line duty at the front main gate during the boys' session. This role demanded attentiveness, organization, and a commitment to maintaining discipline and safety. By effectively coordinating the dismissal process, I contributed to the smooth functioning of the school and ensured a secure environment for all.
The fifth day of my internship at St. Mary's HSS Pattom highlighted the importance of seizing opportunities, engaging in proactive preparation, and embracing unforeseen responsibilities. By utilizing my free periods for productive activities, such as class preparation and self-care, and actively participating in substitution classes and line duty, I furthered my growth as an educator. Each experience served as a stepping stone toward becoming a more competent and dedicated teacher, eager to make a positive impact on the lives of students.
